Welcome Richard Cowley

Hi Richard and welcome, I hope you enjoy the site and read some of the old posts, you can look at old photos and notes by clicking on skydrive on the left hand menu, by the way feel free to add any old photos that you may have to any of the folders there, you also have your own online storage space again called skydrive but this is accessed from the top menu bar under the dropdown menu "MORE" in there you can create and store up to 25 gigs of files, these can be private or public or both depending on how you set your preferences, anyway enjoy the site and I hope you contact someone you knew at the Tech.

Please add a headshot to your profile, this is easy to do and can be a recent one or you can download the school photo from your year, make sure you remember where you save it on your hard-drive then click on the blank headshot in your profile and when prompted upload to windows live where you can resize it to just your headshot, this could also be a recent photo on your PC, any problems please ask and any of us will help.

Can you please add a surname to your profile as the membership is rising and it is becoming increasingly confusing who everybody is, thanks and welcome ---Tony

Hello, I attended from '58 to '63, worked for Avon Rubber for 10 years, and have been with Bridgestone for 20 plus. Married for 40 years (to the same girl) 2 sons and twin granddaughters, not an uncommon story.
Have you many members from my era?
I especially would like to know how Mike Lakey, Phil martin, keith Lancey, are doing.
How many of you are going to the reunion in March?

Hi Richard, I see you started a year before me so you must have been at Weymouth House for two years, there are a few guys from your intake year,I think John Stickland may be one, no doubt somebody will be in touch soon.
I am not to sure how many are going to the planned reunion as it has only just been suggested by Steve and the date has to be decided but Bill and I wil be going for sure.
Have a look at some of the old posts and photos and any extra photos are more than welcome.

Cheers for now Tony

Hi Anth, Rich and all.
Sorry, Anth, not quite correct, I joined in 55 and left in 61, but if its any consolation we did overlap.
Wonder if Rich knew 'Spike' Hughes (RIP) he would have been about the same time! Also being as Richard worked at Avon for some time I guess he was a Wiltshire lad. 'Spike' lived at Corsham. The only lad I can recall that lived at Melksham was Taff Griffiths, he lived in a little round house that I guess was once a toll collector's cottage.
Bi for now.
John.

Hi all,
I can't recall "Spike" Hughes I'm afraid. I may have known the face and not the name. I was 61 -66 and there were quite a lot of Wiltshre lads in our year but at the moment i can't put a face to him.

Hi all.
Sorry about theconfusion guys, but I wasn't suggesting that Rich Lanham might have known 'Spike'. I realise he was out of your time frame, but was suggesting that Rich Cowley was in his time frame and may have known him. Especially as Rich C was likely to have come from that area.
Hope this clears it up, sorry again for causing confusion.
Regards.
John.

Hi Rich C, we had a few guys in our year that came from Melksham, "tosh" Morony was one and his mate was Chris Hart from Trowbridge, sorry we are all assuming that as you worked in Avon Rubber that you also lived in Melksham, this is probably wrong.
