Hi Howard welcome, I hope you enjoy the site and read some of the old posts, you can look at old photos and notes by clicking on skydrive on the left hand menu, by the way feel free to add any old photos that you may have to any of the folders there, you also have your own online storage space again called skydrive but this is accessed from the top menu bar under the dropdown menu "MORE" in there you can create and store up to 25 gigs of files, these can be private or public or both depending on how you set your preferences, anyway enjoy the site and I hope you contact someone you knew at the Tech.

Please add a headshot to your profile, this is easy to do and can be a recent one or you can download the school photo from your year, make sure you remember where you save it on your hard-drive then click on the blank headshot in your profile and when prompted upload to windows live where you can resize it to just your headshot, this could also be a recent photo on your PC, any problems please ask and any of us will help.

I noticed that you commented on the Colts U15 team photo sent over from Oz by our young Ken Enyon. The picture wasa taken at Brougham Hayes (front entrance terrace by the look of it), Tim Merrit was an older brother of Neil Merrit (who was in my years 1959-63 and class of P stream). Looks like it could be April 61? on the ball. That would be about right all things considered regards us moving to brougham hayes in 1960 and Tim being perhaps 13?

 

I`d just like to share with the rest of the lads your surname Stockhall, and that you started attending the old School in 1956 in the form stream of 1X. I don`t know if you know that your surname is not showing on your profile, that`s why I`ve been nosy and added this comment. You never know you might get recognised now!...Hope you find a few more memories on here Howard...speak with you later.  Best Regards ...

Hello Howard. Welcome to the show. I also started in 1956 in form 1Y. I remember Weymouth House well but only did one year at Brougham Hayes as my father was psoted to Rosyth Dockyard in 1961. We must know some overlapping names. Ken (in Australia) was a neighbour from 1948, long before either of us went to Bath Tech. I'm sure you'll enjoy the reminiscences on the site.

Very warm welcome to the site. I was a year earlier than you and in the P stream, so you probably will not recognise the name.

Hi Bill,

Happy New Year to all and welcome Howard.  Photograph was taken in 1961 and players for the Colts were under 15 years.  Remember it well twas the last year one wore a cap before going into 5th form.

Tim Merritt is on far right front row as you look at it and the good looker on the far left is Ich.
