The Do

Hi all,
I thought I'd start a new page for the reunion as the other one is getting a bit long.

I contacted Steve Wakefield and he said the last do cost a tenner a head but he'd know nearer the date about this one. I also offered assistance in setting  up beforehand as Me and Mine are staying over and he said all hands would be gratefully recieved, so if anyone else is around give him a shout and we can sort something out.

Should be  good night don't you think?

Rich

Yeh, you're right, I'm sure Bill does have too much time on his hands, how does he think of these little asides?

Hi guys.
Its very lonely in here all on my own. You've all gone very quiet, so here's something to cheer you all up!
What is the difference between a wife and a prostitute?
A wife is on contract.
A prostitute is pay as you go!
Got to go now, newsletter to finish.

Hello guys,
Sorry to leave you on your own in this big white virtual "sheet of parchment" John, but I have been busy.

John, you`ll be glad to know that you bought your solar panels at the right moment...they are now £299 to buy. My wofe has not had her contract renewed this year (due to withdrawl of some services) ... ha ha

Tony, these minuets; of a musical nature are they? .. or are you confusing them with pointy minarets?

Stu, the hours .. sound like you have  excellent contract terms ..I`m jealous ..ha ha

Steve, is your part of the planet warming back up again after the cold spell?

To our absent friends a warm hello, and hope you are still alive, and not frozen up.

Oh well, back to testing the laundry dehumidifier ... catch you guys later.

Hi Guys.
You guys are classic! The jokes are superb, still chuckling!!!!
This laundry dehumidifier you are testing Bill, is it :-
1/ A dehumidifier that goes in the laundry to keep the atmosphere dry?
2/ A machine to dehumidify laundry, eg a tumble drier?
3/ Have you been outside staring skywards wondering where the sun has gone? (Solar dehumidifier).
Don't worry about the spelling Anth, I rather liked the musical touch, we all realised that you meant 'Minute'!!!!
Got to get on, still got to finish publishing the Jan newsletter.
Have fun.

Ignore Williams Tony, he's just being pedantic, he's even misinterpreted my comment for his own perverted ends, but that's OK we all know what he's like, keep sticking it to him Sticky, oops! soory no pun intended.

I'm bored, it's February, worst part of the year I think, Christmas is done and gone, winter's still here and it seems an awful long way to summer. I realised that I didn't like winter when I was at school, it never appealed going to school in the dark, getting home after dark, ( detentions you understand ), and then once I started work the cycle repeated itself, and now to make it worse not only do I go to work in the dark and come home in the dark, I get rained on all day as well!!!!!!! Oh well the only way is up.

Looking forward to the "Do", don't know how much time I'll have to help at the moment, we're away in Prague for the week preceeding, get back Friday lateish, will probably arrive in time to end up parking cars, ( I'm good at that ), perhaps I'll bring my machine and book a few just for fun, ( will probably need the funds after Czecho, Mrs, shopping, beer etc ). Look forward to seeing you guys then.

Hello,
Stu, I`ve been ignored all my life ..what do you think I`m doing on here? ..Ha Ha

John, The laundry (clothes that release water vapour into the confines of a building), an appliance for the removal of said vapour is the bit of bit of high tech kit what I am a`testing of. This dehumidifier has a dessicant (10" diameter) air filter which rotates periodicly to centerfuge the misture it collects from the through put of air from a circulating fan. No coolant (or compreesor) is required, hence high efficency and lower noise level. It will be permanent timed and plumbed, I will sleep easier at night when it is installed.

I am trying to enlighten a tenant of mine about preserving the structure of a property that she rents from me. Her misguided current solution to himidity control is to take her washing in to he lounge, put clothes in front of fire, turn on the heat, then close the doors and windows. The current duhumidifier is not in this room, but is where the washer / drier, heater, and clothes airier was.

This practise over the last winter has brought about the expansion (and buckling) of a hardwood decorative window cill, window seat, various wood panels, and discolouration / staining to a fire. This is the same woman who turned the bathroom into a WET ROOM by having a shower without using the shower curtain! ... result, 1/4 inch of water flowed under washing machine, she didin`t dry it out, 15 month old washer/dryer machine circuit p.c.b. received condensation from below, bang! .. electrons flowing everywhere. £150.00 for just the p.c.b. alone. Not economic to repair! ... shall I tell you about the immersion timer? .. nah ..it`s still a painful memory ..

Well that`s my whinge for the month over, everybody o.k.? ..catch you later
