Jessica Leila Chambers finally arrived at the RUH on Saturday. 7lbs of beauty! She must inherit a 'Priest' trait as she was two weeks late and had to arrive by C-section. Looks like we are up for baby sitting when things settle down. By golly those staff at the hospital work hard. A superb service. With all the snow and ice (Wiltshire did not grit the A4 on Box Hill on Saturday night when we went home!) it was a tricky drive. Son-in-law's car would not start in -8 degrees Centigrade Bath temperatures at 5.00am Saturday so I was watching an AA man by 5.15am and Steve was off in a taxi. His car was blocking mine on the drive! The battery was flat through lack of use! Judy is pleased to have another female in the tribe!

Congratulations Graham, another candidate for you to practice your grandfathering skills on. And to think when I first knew you we were wearing short trousers! Regards Don

Thanks chaps, I will forgo the shorts (unless they are alcoholic!). Baby at home and family doing well. Helped push the pram into Pierrepont Street this afternoon and had to take a snifter of whisky back at home to regain my strength! Hard to believe it is well over half-a-century since we pottered around Larkhall and elsewhere Donald. Tempus fugit!

Hi Stu, Would you believe we demolished the last of the Balvenie (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Balvenie) on Sunday night when we got home from Bath? (son-in-law and daughter too knackered to imbibe in Bath!). (As an aside the previous owners of their house called it 'Balvenie'). It was down to 'Teachers' for my snifter! (My elderly neighbour passes me a regular supply simply as I deal with her wheelie bins each week- don't take that out of context! She is mid 80s!!) Rather different from the night my son was born in 1972. My neighbour invited me in for dinner as Judy was in hospital. I took a bottle of Grant's and it was empty by bedtime!!) Judy still reminds me of this even though I smuggled a 1/2 bottle of booze to her in the maternity ward!!
