Nothing wrong with a bit of free enterprise Anth.
I expect you saw it reported in the media recently about the car
park attendant on the Downs outside Bristol Zoo. Just in case you
didn't here's what happened.
The old guy had been the attendant for years, he had a hut on the
site, wore a white coat and black cap, complete with money bag and
ticket machine. He charged a pound for cars and a fiver for coaches and
come rain or shine he was always at work, never missed a day, until
recently. Suddenly without warning he did not turn up for a couple of
days. Eventually the Zoo phoned the council to tell them that he had not
turned up, they said he's not one of ours, we thought he was one of
yours. No one has seen him since!
The council calculated that over the period of time he had probably collected several million pounds and all tax free!
That's what I call free enterprise!!!!!!!!
Keep your eyes open in Spain for a bloke in a white coat and black cap.....................
